FC Dallas midfielder Victor Sikora is expected to miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn right lateral meniscus on Wednesday.

The defeat snapped a four-game winning streak for Houston (8-5-8).

New York Red Bulls midfielder Jorge Rojas missed Sunday's game against the Houston Dynamo because he was stuck in his native Venezuela due to passport problems. Red Bulls sporting director Jeff Agoos said Rojas went to Venezuela last week to play in an international friendly. However, he was not allowed to return to the United States because his temporary visa had expired.

Chad Barrett scored a goal and Toronto FC earned a 1-1 tie against league-leading New England on Saturday night. Playing his fourth game for Toronto since being acquired in a trade with the Chicago Fire, Barrett took a pass from Rohan Ricketts in the penalty area before turning and firing a left-footer past New England goalie Doug Warren in the 66th minute.

Zach Thornton made three saves for his first shutout in two years to preserve Chivas USA's 0-0 tie with the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.
